Miata Mania Was Exactly as Unhinged as It Sounds
We showed up. The Miata community showed out.
This past Sunday, Donut Media and the Petersen Automotive Museum took over the P3 garage on Wilshire for Miata Mania. An all-MX-5 celebration that was somehow both totally chaotic and deeply wholesome at the same time. Cars & Bids was there as an event partner, and we had a blast.
Bob Hall and Donut Media
The Donut crew was out in full force all day. The Miata sound-alike contest was... exactly what you'd expect. People fully committed. No shame. We respect it.
And then there was Bob Hall. The man widely credited as the driving force behind the original MX-5, walking through the crowd, checking out builds, and reportedly signing a few Miatas. If your car got a Bob Hall signature on March 29th, congratulations. That's a line item on a future Cars & Bids listing and you know it.
Cars & Bids on the Ground
We were set up at the event talking to enthusiasts, meeting sellers and buyers from the community, and doing what we do: connecting with the people who actually care about these cars. The Miata has always been one of the most active segments on Cars & Bids. They trade well, they attract engaged bidders, and the community around them is second to none. Being at Miata Mania just confirmed what we already knew.
If you came by and said hey, thanks for hanging out with us. If you're sitting on a Miata you've been thinking about listing, you know where to find us.
